Past one and a half months

The much-awaited blog is back again. Though I am not much of a narcissist, still I sincerely believe that you find my blogs knowledgeable, interesting and humorous. It isn’t that I didn’t get any topic to write on all these days, just that my (blissful) procrastination defeated the writer in me. The procrastination thing is something that I don’t want to get rid of. I will explain it in my own verbose way. The whole idea of it helps one in planning and prioritising things. As it is said (and, I also believe so) that by planning, the 80% of the work is over, I adeptly plan (read procrastinate) things for later and use time effectively and judiciously.

Of late, I have been very busy (not in planning) in quite a different things. I had finally started some preparation for the CAT though the pace at which I was going could easily tell that I wasn’t preparing for this year at least. After careful consideration, I decided I want to crack CAT banishing all the whims which I get of writing GRE, GMAT and even going for IAS. Being hell bent to study in an IIM, I joined the TIME test series only to discover my profligate spending later. To my chagrin, I managed to just write two mock CATs till now and won’t tell anything about my score. As time passed I confirmed that IIMs are the holy grail of the management institutes. Ergo, being practical in my thinking, I decided that I have to study for my placements now (more so after the lecture by one of our otherwise-senile profs the other day) and there’s enough of CAT. Others of my ilk have done the same thing or will be doing in the near future. Being chauvinistic for my college, I have full optimism that this placement session would be the best in the history ever. To be optimistic is the greatest thing I learnt ever. Being optimistic helps you appreciate the harsh realities of life (no wonder that I have also been fascinated by various aphorisms lately). Though as I said I want to start studying for my placements, the current T20 Champions League and EPL are refraining me from doing so. I am an ardent supporter of the Delhi Daredevils team not solely because I am a Delhite but due to the performance it has shown in both the IPLs combined together. I would say that the Delhi team is the MANU of Football.

I had also been caught in a net of presentations. There was the first one, second, third and so on. There is one on Monday too. But these things are not new. They come at regular intervals and haunt us. The relief one gets as soon as it is over is inexplicable in words. Also, I was busy discovering some of the wonderful food locations of Delhi especially of Purani Delhi unvisited by me till now. Though I am not a food connoisseur, I can tell that the scrumptious meat of the likes of the Changezis and the Peshawaris were legen-wait for it-dary. But, none of them can outscore the Kakaji and the Karim’s.

Apart from the recent b’day chapo and the incidents which took place (which shouldn’t have) on that day and the some once-in-a-lifetime pics which I got to see some time back on the baba’s lappy, life’s been more of banal. But, hope is something which I never lose and hope that there are good times to come, smiling faces in december, and even more wonderful period thereafter.
